Anastasia looked around her, she could not believe what she was
seeing. Was this real? Could so much beauty fit into just one place?
The
night was dark and calm, the stars above her where shining, and tonight
it seemed as if they shined especially for her with all their strength,
like flashlights lighting up the sky. All around her where trees high
with their branches reaching up to the sky as if to capture the stars
with their hands.
A light breeze moved trough them playing with
their leafs making the warm night just the perfect temperature.
Fireflies where everywhere, lighting the dark forest around her like
white christmas lights.
The forest was alive around her, with the
sound of tiny, and not so tiny, animals snapping branches at their wake,
and the soft hum of the fireflies and other bugs. The smells of the
forest overwhelmed her nose, with the rich smell of soil and of the
different plants and trees around her.
So much beauty and
life in just one place was almost unbelievable. She breathed in the
smell of the soil and moss of the forest and turned in a circle to
admire the beauty all around her.
She stopped abruptly in her tracks.
There
was something there, coming towards her, so dark in contrast to the
light around her. Someone. A shadow. The happiness melted away to dread
that froze her in place. Her breath caught at her throat. She stood
still. Her insides twisted and turned in the presence of this shadow.
He, it, was
getting closer. She tried to run, but couldn't. She was rooted to the
ground. Literally. She struggled helplessly against the roots that had
sprouted from the ground and held her in place. It was useless. She
could not move.
Closer. Closer. Closer.
The
sick feeling inside her grew. She struggled harder, to no use. The
shadow was almost to her. it reached its arms out as if to touch her.
"Anastasia" it whispered in raspy voice.
"NO!"
she screamed. And jolted awake in bed. She was breathing hard, sweat
running down her face. She turned to her nightstand and clicked the
light button on top of her alarm clock. Three a.m.
This
was the fifth time in two months, this nightmare had come to her. This
had stopped happening when she was ten. And now they where back. It
could only mean one thing.

If you are with me.....Just a little something I wrote :)
The lights where receding, the car was getting farther and farther away from the house, finally they where gone. They had been laying on the ground behind bushes for almost two hours waiting for them to leave, now that they had left the place was quite unruffled. It was a cold October night and when they breathed out they could see their breath form clouds in front of them. It had been a prolonged wait, they had sat there in extreme silence so that no one would know they where watching, waiting for them leave so that they could break in and take what was theirs. She turned around and saw that disarming smile of his that she loved so much, and that made her forget, just for a split second, what they where about to do, and then it all came back.
“Are you ready?", he asked.
"Do we really have to do this, can't we just ask them for it?"
“You think they would just give it to us, no questions asked, and without wanting something in return? And that is if they are actually willing to give it to us. No, that belongs to us and we must have it back, without it we won't be able to do anything."
" Ok, fine but let's hurry up and get it before they come back."
They both stood up in unison and walked toward the front door, she had no idea how they would open the door, but he did not seem worried about it, this was actually diverting for him, he was enjoying this. As she walked lost in her thoughts she tripped over a protruding sprinkler and fell to the ground. She sat up, and when she looked up he was there asking her if she was okay and if anything hurt.
“ No, I'm fine" she said with a smile.
He helped her stand up and when she put her weigh on her right foot she tumbled down, but he caught her and held her firmly against him, which was very distracting.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"It's my foot, I must have hurt it when I fell"
"Which one is it?"
"My right"
He bent down and examined her foot carefully.
"It's gonna be fine is just a sprain"
"Just a sprain?!"
"Yes, you'll be fine, now let's go, we've got to hurry up.
So he put his arm around her and she put her arm around his neck, and he helped her walk to the front door.
"Uh, did you think about how we where gonna get in?"
"Yes, in fact I did" he said with a cocky smile.
"And how is is that?"
"Just watch and learn!"
He put his hand to the door and light started emanating from it, and then you could hear the the lock working, unlocking, and then the door opened.
"How did you do that? That's amazing!'
He smiled."I'll show you later"
They walked in and she felt an impulse to just turn around and start running, to get out of there as fast as she could, but she couldn't do that,she had to go trough with this, as imprudent as it was, because they had to go to back to Amet or however it was called, she had never been there but according to Ethan I was born there and brought here when I was just a little baby because things in Amet where bad , like horrible bad, I don't know why,he hasn't told me, but now things are good. It took many years, a year here are like four years there, and just now they sent someone looking for me, so I know I need to get back, I'm needed there so I have to go trough with this.
"What exactly are we looking for?"
"It's a round piece of wood, with carvings in it, all the designs on them are different,it is probably well hidden"
"Is it like those?"she pointed to seven round pieces of wood hanging on the wall just beside them.
"Well that was easier than I thought, those hold great power, these people must not know what these are, they should be well hidden, if they fall into the wrong hands it could be disastrous"
"Okay, so how did they end up in here?"
"They where sent with you, so that you could find your way back, but they where scattered around the so that the wrong people could not find them. These people must
There was a sound outside, like a car engine, and then light flooded trough the windows.
"They must be back!" said Ethan.
"Take them fast, we'll go out the back door!"
He took them all and put them in his bag."Hurry up, let's get out of here!"
"You gotta help me, I can't put weight on my right foot!"
He put his arm around her and they walked as fast as they could to the back door. As they where opening the back door they heard the front door open and someone say "Okay, I'll hurry up, we'll get there in time don't worry!" They froze. They heard footsteps going up the stairs and took that moment to step out and slowly close the door behind them. They set out walking fast, with Ethan's arm still around her, to the woods behind the house. She sat down, and they waited the in silence until they heard the car drive away again. When it did, Ethan helped her to her feet again and quietly they walked to his car that he had parked just three houses away in case they needed to get away in a hurry.
When they where finally inside the car he turned to her
"We need to get you to a hospital"
"No we don't"
"You need to have that checked out by a doctor"
"No!"
"Why not? It could be more than just a sprain"
"I'm sure it isn't it doesn't hurt that much"
"Why don't you want to go to the hospital? it won't do you any bad!"
"I just don't like hospitals!" she said frustrated.
"Stella, I'm taking you wether you want it or not"
"Fine,whatever" she said mad now, and turned around to look at the window.
Ethan took her face in his hands and and made her look at him, but she would not look him in the eye.
"Please look at me" he said.
She reluctantly did.
"I'm just worried about you, I care about you too much"
She could feel blood rushing to her cheeks.
"Will you please let me take you to the hospital?"
She was quiet. She did not want to give in, but her foot was really starting to hurt. A lot.
"Okay, fine. I'll let you take me."
He released her face and started driving, he was a reckless driver. He drove like someone was chasing them. She spent most of her way to the hospital holding to the armrest as hard as she could.
At the hospital they checked out her foot, it turned out it really was just a sprain and they gave her some pain medication and she was free to go.
As soon as they where out, she asked:
"Now what do we do, we've got all we need don't we?"
Invariably he smiled at her.
"Just wait and see"
He drove to a place she did not recognize. There where trees around them and they where far away from the city.
"Where are we?" Stella asked.
"Where the veil between the worlds is the thinnest"
"Okay, that tells me a lot"
"When all the obstacles that Amet faced to be free again where surmounted, they vail between the worlds was thickened and now the easiest way in is here, that is probably why you have lived here all your life, you where drawn here by this"
She was quiet.
"Now come" he said.
They walked deep into the woods and reached a clearing, always his hand was around her, helping her walk. It was a beautiful meadow and there where flowers of all colors. Ethan walked right to center of the meadow and placed the seven pieces of wood in a circle,then called Stella over.
"Come into the circle"
She stood there, frozen, just outside the circle.
"Come on in nothing is going to happen"
"I'm scared"she admitted
"Take my hand, it's going to be okay"
He stretched his hand and she took it, she walked in the circle.
He smiled at her. "All is good" he said.
He started chanting words in what seemed like Latin, and she jut held on to his hand like it was all she had in the world. After a while she started seeing this light in front of her that just got bigger and bigger, he stopped chanting and looked at her.
"Are you ready?"he asked.
"Only if you are with me" she said.
"Always"
Together hand in hand they walked into the light.

This is my first entry.... I just want to say hello and tell you a but about what this blog will be like.
